Love is something that grows. Love doesn't mean leaning, company doesn't mean security, and kisses aren't contracts, presents aren't promises. Love is happiness. Love is someone you don't want to live without. Love is forgiveness. Love is above and beyond, and understanding. Love is never giving up. Love is to be shown. You may be inlove without realizing it, only you and your heart knows. Embrace love.

Isnt this what everyone since the beginning of time has gone thru? If there was an easy answer then would we be here? There are no written manuals or directions in the game of love, on how love is supposed to feel like, how to find the perfect love, etc. Its a feeling like no other. You just have to learn to trust your heart and gut instinct but theres no guarantee either that those are always right but yove got to believe in something. This is also why you dont marry the first person you meet. You must also learn the difference between infatuation and true love. Real true love can conquer all. Good luck

my thoughts...
there are two aspects to this question-generic and particular;
love is a special, deep and nurturing feeling and encompasses many important things like trust, compassion, empathy, esteem, intimacy...
and each person experiences it in there own unique way...both 'being loved' and 'loving someone'
at a generic level-
it is very rare not to have experienced 'being loved' in atleast one form of relationship - filial, sibling, friendship, mentor...
in such a case it would get reflected thru the absence of any deep relationships and/or deep feelings...and is not very normal or healthy;
within a more specific context of love-relations-
well both aspects "being loved" and "being in love" feed into eachcother...
the experiences borrow on our generic understanding of love and grow to encompass intimacy...
now, if you feel you've never been loved and therefore donot know what the feeling of being loved is( assuming, in an intimate way)...you might not experience , in the same intimate way, being in love with someone....
but that doesnt take anyhting away about the fact that you might be ready (a level of preparedness of the being) to experience this very profound feeling.

You have obviously never been in love if you have to ask this question.
Don't fret. It's just a matter of time before you meet that special person who will make your heart dance whenever you are with her. That feeling will be the beginning of love.

If you have no idea what it feels like to love someone, then you have never been in love. You will know love when it hits you, trust me, love will slap you in the face with cast-iron skillet.

there many people who are though loved but they never feel it ...question is do you love someone... well then its a treasure that someday u will just bump into .... yet difference between wanting desire and loving should be clear in one's mind.... love comes with knowing someone.... you cannot love a person that u dont know ....
