I had the hardest time finding a foundation. I am olive toned. The only foundation that matched my skin tone left makeup marks all over everything I touched or looked at. I finally went to a MAC counter and love my foundation . The rep will match your skin tone. I have a cream foundation that comes with a sponge in a compact . Also save your empty containers of any MAC makeup. For every six you get a free lipstick. They're not that expensive. My foundation is $28 , lipsticks are $8 to $12.

hi, out of all the foundations... I truly love Revlon color stay foundation (oil free) it has an spf (very important) and stays on all day. I have had fantastic luck when it is hot & humid outside. Be prepared.........when you 1st put it on you will think it is heavy but when it sets (only takes a few seconds) you aren't aware that it's on. This foundation provides good, even coverage, that looks natural. Even better there are several colors to choose from so finding a match for your skin tone is probable. This is also great because it doen't rub off on your clothes.or someone else's-smile.

Hi, if you go to your local Mac counter and ask, they will try the make up on you. It is more expensive than other brands(no7, rimmel, bourgeois etc),most are under £20, but they have a whole range of different colours and textures and will match the right one to your skintone. They are a very good brand and I would heartily reccomend them.I promise you won't be disappointed.

Revlon's long wearing foundation is the best for me. I'm really pale, and I find that their formula works wonders on my skin. It has great coverage, and doesn't cake up. Bonus, it is not a super moisturizing formula, so it doesn't cause blemishes. Another bonus is that the formula comes in a wide range, and they also have a mix for older skin.

I've heard the Dita von Teese does her own makeup, and that she swears by Revlon's foundations. . . . .

There is a very good article on handbag.co.uk, in the beauty section, which lists lots of different foundations and rates them for skin type, effect and so on. Have a search on there, it might help. Hope you find something.

I love the maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. There's many shades to choose from and it is so light and airy, but provides a light, natural looking coverage. It stays put all day too...even thru a workout.

Not all foundations match every ones skin tone and because its expensive doesn't mean its better. You may what to add two foundations together, mix them together and test them against your face unlit one matches your skin tone. Remember test foundations to your face and not to the back of your hand.
