can money orders be fake and if so how....because dont u have to use your own money for them and have to pay for them before they give them to you?

They can be fake because people can print them using cheap computers and printers.

If you get one and you think the money is just too good to be true...it probably is!

Edit: Just heard on the news this morning that a gang broke into a convenience store and stole 800 money orders and the machine that prints them out. People think that money orders are as good as cash. When I worked in a bank, my head teller always used to say "If it isn't green with a picture of a dead President then it isn't cash." He's right.

They can be printed illegally and are often stolen from businesses. I personally do not accept money orders, too much hassle, if people don't have credit cards, pay pal I don't deal with them.
