If this is your situation, I can see why you're on the fence. I think you need to think about what is most important to you.

1. How do you do under stress? Does it motivate you or keep you up at night? How is your health? Good? You can probably handle some. Not so good? You may want to think about how this might affect your health.

2. Are you ambitious (C) or would you rather goof around at work (G)? Do you have any family or other demands that working overtime would cause problems for?

3. Benefits sure are important these days. Again, how is your health? How comfortable are you with taking risks? (What would happen if you got really sick or hurt?) How quickly could you earn more vacation time? (Do they up the # of days based on years of service?)

4. What are your financial goals? A house? College education for any children? Do you have a lot of debt? Can you live on what is offered for each job?

5. How important is having more time for yourself? Do you mind spending your time for yourself stuck in a car? Is the commute route crazy or dangerous or is it all right? How would you get to work if your car is acting up?

6. Sounds like you're stuck either way. :-(

7. A good boss is great, but bad co-workers can suck, and you can end up feeling a lot of resentment not to mention downright annoyance. Sometimes this problem is remedied by co-workers quitting. But you can't count on that, and maybe these people are "lifers" (stuck there till they retire or die). An okay boss and co-workers is okay, and there is hope--maybe some will leave and be replaced with better people.

I hope that these questions might help make an answer stand out to you. Good luck!

I would go with "C." The reason, the company seems to put a little more effort into the employee in regards to benefits. The advantage you're missing is the experience. You'll have supervision experience from job "C" and later on that will ultimately increase your worth, whether within company "C" or with the person reviewing your resume down the road. The commute is still average even though its 45 min, and the only other negative I see is with advancement. Like I said, the experience will provide gains for you down the road that will outweigh what you think is less desirable at the moment. Good Luck!

Personally, I would accept Job C's offer if you are able to handle the additional stress and the relatively long commute. The pay sounds good and benefits are all taken care of; it's a supervisory position with great potential for career advancement; you get to work independently; and you seem to prefer working with everybody at "Company C." Just take care of yourself during your downtime so that you don't feel too stressed-out and overworked.

Good luck with whichever path you take!

Do what makes you most comfortable! Do what you think is right, pick the option that you are sure will guarantee you a happy lifestyle. If you want more money,I suggest you go for the higher position that your boss is offering you. If you want the other job that for you is more interesting,go for it! Do what makes you happy,do what makes you satisfied and makes you wanna go back to work the next day.

It really depends on you.

Some people thrive on a very stressful work environment. Personally I hate clerical work. But only you know which one you would like the best. MAKE A DECISION AND DON'T SECOND GUESS YOURSELF.
