Do you think that 'some' deny the existence of Terrorism, because we don't WANT to Believe it's true ?
I've pondered, long and hard on this issue. For the LIFE of me, I am unable to understand why 'some' diminish terrorism as not a REAL THREAT . Yesterday, I decided to AVOID the use of words like Republican, Democrat, Conservative, Liberal, etc. because I really want to get a 'clear view' of what PEOPLE THINK. I'll probably have to use those words, from time to time, but I'll 'avoid' them, in the interest of CLEAR VIEWS.
So what's your CLEAR VIEW on this topic ?

Ppl talk as if we are fighting a war against no-one, all we have to do is quit and every thing will be alright. The stupidity is appalling.

My CLEAR VIEW is that I was in the US when 9/11 happened, same as most all of us. And we know that the threat is real. Now, does that mean I am willing to give up what makes me an american, because of that threat? Am I willing to give up my freedoms and my rights? Will I make decisions in my life based solely around this threat? NO! If I do, the terrorists have won. And I realize that the threat of me being killed by a terrorist is less than me getting struck by lightening, but I still play in the rain...

Well... part of the problem (leaving out the "box of rocks" stupid) is that "Terrorism" is a misnomer for what (or who) we are fighting. Terrorism is a method, a technique.... it's not an organization, ethnic group, or country. What we are fighting is Islamic Jihad, a form is Islam that is dead set on converting the world to the service of Ala. {read some of the speeches from the leaders of Iran} Some say that these Islamic Radicals are only 10% of *Real* Islam... Well 10% of a billion+ is still over 100,000,000 people that want you to be a Muslim, a 3rd class citizen, or Dead.

I don't think anyone is trying to deny the threat of terrorism or its existence altogether. But I do think that it is not as great of a threat as is sometimes implied. Some credibility may have been saved for the B. Administration had they not continually played with our minds, flashing color-coded threat level bars across TV screens and throwing the word terror into nearly every speech made. Now people are used to it all, and therefore don't take it as seriously. You also have to consider the odds; it is much more likely that you or I will die in a car accident or of an illness than an attack from extremists. That is what I think, and don't attack me for it because I will not respond.

the biggest threat to global peace dwells at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington D.C. , all that King Goerge the Lunatic has done is incite others around the globe into action. Its prety clear he profited from 9/11, that Bin Ladden's family and he are on the boiard of the Carsyle Group, that Bin Ladden was at our embassy in Dubai prior to 9/11, and since 9/11 he has used the patriot act to terrorise America. Now he's dummped Rummy an is bringing in another of his Daddy's cronies. Little changes but his $$ keep marching on. IMPEACH BUSH

The threat of a terrorist attack is real, but should be taken in context. The threat of being a victim of violent crime is a far greater threat to every average American,
The threat of terrorism should not be used to advance ones political agenda.

My view is that radical islamic terrorism is the most serious issue we have to deal with. If we don't come together on this one thing and quickly, we will be overtaken. Anyone who is not convinced should watch "Obsession, Radical Islam's War Against the West".

Go to Iraq or Afghanistan. Point at a terrorist for me. Just one. Do they have a mark on the head? We are not fighting Terrorist in Iraq. A terrorist is a coward, (IDEs) they would never face our Marines in a fair fight. They do the dirty work behind your back, just like in NAM.
We lost 58,000 brave Americans in Nam. These were Americas brightest, Americas best. What lesson did we as a nation learn in Nam? BTW, would Bush use fear as propaganda to support his agenda? The Terrorist just used (news) fear to support there agenda of instilling fear in Americans..
