That sounds reasonable. Bats generally come out of the caves at night and they are pollinators. The scented nectar may attract them. If not bats, other nocturnal pollinators will be attracted.

Almost all flowers which blossom during night are white, then how to attract the insects? therefore they have scented smell. bats visit the plants having fruits a good example is jasmine and nightqueen do bats visits such plants?
