on thursday i had a paragard IUD put in, and afterwards my doctor told me to watch for a few warning signs of possible infection or embeddment. since thursday i've had spotting and dried blood coloring when i pee, mildly painful cramps, and stomach cramps, too. i have no fever or headache, but feel overall crappy. can anyone tell me if those signs are normal because i can't really afford to go to the doctor if nothing's wrong with it.

ok first are you peeing blood?second did they give you anti-biotics to prevent infection? when i had mine put in they gave me anti-biotics to prevent infection and they also set me up with a follow up appointment 3-4 weeks later.some of what your saying does sound normal.i bleed for a few days after i had mine put in and i had cramping.from my experience i would say dont worry unless if you are in so much pain you cant take it.the thing is there is something new in your body and it will take some time for your body to adjust it.i had mine done in june of this year and im just starting to get used to it.so give it some time and make a follow up appointment.

Sounds normal to me. When I had mine put in the Dr said to call if I had a change in my discharge or pains in my back. It doesn't hurt to call the nurse at your Dr's office and ask their advice.
