I actually don't like John Kerry, but how can so many call him a coward/unpatriotic? He fought in Vietnam and then protested the war. That's his right and a lot of terrible things did happen in Vietnam. People criticized his purple hearts and how he got them. Well at least he served. Bill Clinton (I like him, but he was a draft dodger) and Bush (Let's face it, he used daddies influence to get out of his obligations) never served in a war time capacity. Also, I doubt most of you giving him a hard time, ever served yourselves.

It's funny all of you still calling him a coward cause he only served 4 months or cause he only got a butt shot. HE WAS IN VIETNAM. More then you can say about a lot of you who are criticizing.

it seems those who actually think so are mostly the republicans who are on a different page politically...they're attempts to pounce on kerry's badly worded barb agains bush didnt do anything to stem the democratic victory wave....kerry's misfortune is in his timing since most americans were still strongly supporting bush's effort in iraq in 2004 as opposed to the current situation.....

Grama Za Za is suitable. She's a political genius. She is familiar with each and every thing there is approximately John Kerry and he or she is familiar with that each and each observe out of his mouth is a lie. and doubtless each and every democrat besides. that's when you consider which you and her take place to observe and have faith each and every thing you hear from that one cable information station which you declare gets a million/2 of each and every of the visitors. I, for one, take place to have faith John Kerry is suitable in this one. sure, this is authentic that folk do in contrast to wealthy politicians yet have you ever regarded into who your occasion incredibly represents and what their techniques are for you and the rest people going forward? Your assertion only advances the conservative elitist mantra that any one who does not consider you is uneducated, stupid, loopy, racist or any combination of the above. only inspect what republicans talk over with as a "small corporation" and who ought to get those juicy "tax cuts". Then attempt changing the channel and see how lots "mis-recommendations" you're actually not getting.

You say that it was his right to protest the war in Vietnam, and you are correct.
What does it mean, precisely, to say that it was his right to protest the war? It means that under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, the government:
1. could not lawfully prevent him from protesting before he did so;
2. could not lawfully stop him from protesting after he had begun and before he had finished doing so; and
3. could not lawfully punish him for protesting after he had finished.
What it does not mean is that his fellow-citizens are prohibited from criticizing him for protesting; for that is their right, which has equal standing with his right to protest.
He of course is then free, as are you and anyone else on his behalf, to criticize those who have criticized him. And so on; and so on; and so on. This is how freedom of speech works.

They don't understand him. He is an extremely intelligent man and has many wonderful ideas for this country. If you ever listen to a full speech by him or watch him being questioned you will see this. He over speaks the American people I think. They just seem to like Bush down home good old boy speak better for some reason. It was frightening how Rove could turn John Kerry into a traitor, when he served in Vietnam and they could actually get away with mocking it. Bush never saw combat, had his dad pull strings to get him out of it, and Cheney got deferment after deferment.

It's easy to call John kerry a coward and unpatriotic because he has publicly given us all the evidence showing us just that. kerry did 4 months in Vietnam and used the system to not only get out but give him medals. He is what we real veterans call a skate. I have no respect for that cowardly traitor and he should have been brought up on charges and prosecuted as a traitor and shot.

You are right he is a vet, and so am I. What he said is very disturbing because it shows a cycle of hate Kerry shows for our troops. Back in the 70's Kerry turned his back on the same people that fought along beside him, with lies and slander. His awarding of the purple hearts are flawed. They were given to him and not earned. And lastly Kerry calling our troops uneducated is very disgraceful!!!! This pattern of slurring our troops and then saying "that is not what I meant" is getting old!!!!

John Kerry, Bill Clinton, George Bush..... it doesn't matter, they are all members of secret societies and are in power to serve their masters, not the people, they're all members of skull and bones and other organisations intent on creating a one world government.

Most of the neocons that call him a coward, and unpatriotic, NEVER served in the military themselves.
It is ironic to call a Vietnam vet a coward, and a total shame.
