A neoconservative, american protestant invention..
Seems to have its roots in puritanism, another protestant dilusion.
Fairness is a much better concept than PCness.
Fairness is about treating others correctly, PCness is about not doing anything wrong oneself (PC people worry about how they are perceived more than what they do or not do to others).

I think political correctness is an inane waste of time. I think it was created by people who have a hard time taking any form of criticism. I feel that people who demand it are whiny crybabies who just want something to complain about. There's no reason why you can't just call something what it is rather than beating around the bush.

I think that like all things it's been taken to an extreme.

I'm a fair person. I'm really enjoy other people (regardless of race, religion, etc) but I'm human and I also have my opinions.

Not all of those opinions are PC.

I think that being PC tends to be an issue that younger people seem to take hold of with both hands and hold on tight. The rest of who grow up, have families and learn about the world around us learn that world is not black and white. Nothing is all good and few things are all bad.

Yes! It involves not offending anyone, and it can be really funny. I love it because of its pointlessness! Example: American black people are called African-American. So all the blacks in America came from Africa? None from anywhere else? And shouldn't white people from South Africa be called African-American? And people who look Arabian from Egypt and Sudan? See how fun political correctness is to laugh at!

It's only political correctness if you take any notice of it.

This is a concept thought up by overpaid idiots struggling to justify their (government) position.

It goes to prove though, we do not elect a government, we simply vote to put in more of the same.

Once in, they think up more and more devious ways of practicing total control over every facet of our lives.
