If they are actually beetles, then they are most likely Dermestid carpet beetles. These critters are commonly found in human homes, simply because their food source is plentiful "Children's Blood" No, Im kidding!!!!! hahaha, I always wanted to do that... No they actually eat all sorts of human and animal wastes, like shed skin cells, hair, feathers, and bits and pieces of anything they can find in the carpet or on the floor. This is whay they got their appropriate name.
The best remedy is just cleaning a little more often. These guys love dust piles that end up collecting under dressers, beds, bookshelves ect. Vacuuming more often, and maybe soaping the carpet will be a good way to lower their numbers drastically. You can also buy what is called Diatomaceous earth, this is a totally safe product used to kill insects that walk through it, it is in the form of a powder, one brand is called INSECTIGONe and it works well, you can find it in any harware store. Lay it down under furniture, behind dressers, even under the carpet if you can lift it. Then any time one of these little "buggers" moves through it, thye die, simple as that.
Other than that, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, these insects are not toxic or dangerous in any way, and every house i the world probably has one variety or another of these little critters, so, no there is nothing wrong with your house.

Depends on what type of Black beatle? Sounds like you might have a little damp spot (check the walls) Are they the type that scurry away when exposed to light?

Could be wood lice. Completely harmless, but are a nuisance.
They normally come from outside, and can be found up to two or three story's high in buildings.
