Cannot responsibly help you if you don't tell me the name of the program. You don't mention when this program started running, nor the circumstances surrounding it. I don't know if it is a virus, or a program inbedded in the boot up files of the OS, or a program you installed, or a program a website installed surreptitiously while you were attached to their server. I have to know what I am dealing with.

Generally speaking though, System Restore will take care of normal problems if Add Remove Programs in Control Panel can't help you. .

Click on the START button. Then CONTROL PANEL. Then ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS. Select the program from the list and remove it.

Also try going to START, then ALL PROGRAMS, then START UP folder. Programs in here are launched automatically when you start your computer up. Removing them from this folder (if they are in there) should stop it from launching if that is that case.
