We always tend to have a game of charades for those who don't know this it is a miming game and you have to act out films, books, tv programes etc.. by actions not words. Very amusing after a few glasses of bucks fizz.

We play a few crazy ones, we have these really daft jesters hat that we have to wear in our turn while playing pop-it, the last person to have it on their head after half an hour has to wear it the rest of the day, we also have one were we colour the end of a champagne cork with bright red lipstick and do a music quiz, every time you get a question wrong you get the cork dabbed on your face and we usually end up with the one were you write something on a post it note and stick it to someones forehead and they have to try and guess what you've wrote, just good fun.

Some start up a game of Euchre or Trival Pursuit but most of the time we're trying to come up with the funniest past Christmas story about each other.

We play games all Christmas day in my house . The first game starts at about 5 am when the kids wake up and I'm still wrapping their pressies its called convince the kids they have only just fell asleep .After all the presents have been opened we usually have a quick game of searching for a needle in a haystack ,rummaging through all the paper and rubbish in the bins for an important bit of a toy that's been thrown away .Some years we have a quick game of musical presents when some one shows up who i forgot to buy anything for ,so i have to give her MY best presents out of guilt. .I play the next game alone ,its charades me trying to pretend i`m not fuming when iv`e spent hours cooking dinner and all the adults have Boged off to the pub and the kids have got belly ache and no one bothers to eat it .In the after noon the adults (who have eventually returned from the pub) play pass the bottle ,i don`t join in this game as i don`t drink i just play waitresses instead .By evening after a lovely day full of fun every one likes to finish it off with a nice long game of Family Feud with me trying to calm them down when they get a bit over excited ,and before the police come to join in ..All in all just your usual English family Christmas (I love every minute of it )

We usually play Pass the Trash, with goofy gifts that everyone brings specifically for the game. It's good because all ages can play. But this year we are going to play Balderdash for something different.
