Everyone applies their foundation differently. I used to use the maybelline matte foundation. For that I used a sponge because it was easier to use than my fingers. Now I'm using liquid foundation. I squezze a bit out of it (mine's a tube) and dot it on my cheeks, chin, nose, and forehead. Then I rub it in. I use a transclucent powder to finish up my makeup and I apply it with a brush.

Whatever you think is easier and quicker will do for you. If you don't see any good answers here ask an older female you know like, your mom, your sister or your aunt.

Good luck!

Well it's pretty easy. This beauty consultant taught me how to do it. Well with if it's liquid, just use your fingers, it's much easier and it gives you better results. Also, apply going DOWNWARDS, if you apply it going up or in a circular motion the tiny hairs from your face (not beard or anything but the tiny ones, I don't know what they are called) will be sticking up and that doesn't look too good. lol. Foundation lasts longer but if you want to use loose powder, just apply it with the sponge that comes with it. Powder it's like to give it a finishing touch so I wouldn't use it as a base. Also, apply a little blush for the perfect look :D

First I apply good amount of moisturizer, right after that when my face is still moist . i take my clinique foundation on my finger and apply directly where its needed. I dont like to spread it all over bcuz that makes the face look unnatural.
I know most of the ppl said they use sponge, but i m comfortable using my finger bcuz the warmth of my finger melts the foundation and makes its easier to apply.Since i have dry skin, when i use the sponge,my skin looks all flaky.

Again since i have dry sking i dont apply powder,,but i feel if i were to use a powder i would use brush.

I use a sponge to put my foundation on initially, then i use my fingers to "fine-tune" ---- i heard somewhere that the warmth in your fingers heats the foundation and allows it to blend better...so I use my fingers especially around the hairline and jawline. I use loose powder with a brush while at home, but have a compact and puff while out. I like the loose powder better, but don't care to have that in my purse in case it were to open up.

I apply foundation very sparingly...only in the spots that are in need the most, with a color that matches my skin tone...with my fingers...BUT WASH YOUR HANDS FIRST!..Then I apply a powder over my whole face and neck with the really cool built in brush (Loreal Bare Natural Powdered Mineral Foundation...Awesome!) Then I just sweep a bit of blush on my cheekbones. This leaves a natural, flawless, clean look.

Well it all depends on how you want your makeup to look. If you prefer to have your makeup sit on top of your face, which tends to be a more modern look (post 1950's) you should use a sponge, and a light formulated foundation. Use your fingers just at the end of a bit of fine tuning.

If you are, like me, and prefer for your makeup to really sit down into your skin (which is a pre 1950's look, and is also the way to go for the new natural makeup look), you should use your fingers. I usually apply a dab to my forehead, one under each eye, one to my nose, one to my chin, and one to each cheek. I make sure I blend very well; pushing the makeup down into my skin. If you are someone with very sensitive skin and/or oily skin this may not be the best choice for you.

Best of luck to you all!

Use a sponge... fingers may work better, but they also spread bacteria and oil.

For powder, I use a brush.
