Let's see.... if it's your ex that can't let go, try to do fun things with them that you did back when you were friends. Still hang out with them and stuff. If it's you that can't let go, try to look at it this way - you may never see each other romantically, but you're still going to have fun! I mean, if you're a girl, guys are fun to hang out with!! It's a fact! Take my advice and try not to let this stand in the way of your friendship.

LOL. I SO had a chum like this ... purely SHE grew to become into into 'music writing' you are the only that has to alter. you ought to set the bounds and then save on with THEM. It sounds like she comes over to spend the night, and then spends it on your computing device, writing her poems... she does not have get right of entry to to a working laptop or computing device different than yours, does she? purchase her a mag or 5-concern binder for Christmas. close the computing device thoroughly off earlier she comes over, and tell her that this night, you prefer to depart it off. (it particularly is yours, via the way, and you're actually not obligated to permit her use it each and every time she walks interior the door)... to boot, each and every time she gets on it, she will become a poem writing, show screen staring zombie, and you 2 do no longer spend any easily time collectively, and that's no longer working for you anymore considering you have become the sensation that she's purely coming over to apply it, no longer spend time with you. If she's rather your pal, she'll say something alongside the lines of, " ok" If she's rather purely making use of you to get on your computing device, she'll get mad approximately it and throw a greater healthful. the alternative answer is to start up sending her abode each and every night, and cut back your visits along with her to lunch cases or weekends...

As long as one of them cannot let go, I think it is impossible to stay friends. The one who is still in love will not be able to move on and get over the relationship but keep dreaming of a chance to be lovers again.

I don't think so cause one partner is going to want more and the other is not going to want to give it. The best thing to do count your losses and move on. Sad ending but it's better than trying to hold on and hope for the best to come out of something that just isn't there.

They can be friends, but it will be very hard on the person who can't let go. Until they finally do let go. Time will eventually heal the pain, but the one will have to be very strong.

It is very hard. I have tried and it just doesn't work. You always have secret feelings and hope the other will come to their senses. It is better to just slowly back away and find another.

No. I don't think you can go back to being "friends" once you've been more than that. Sometimes it's hard enough to be "civil".
