do you think this may be one of the causes of children losing their innocence?

I agree with you about it being the cause of losing innocence at an overly early age. There are stupid people everywhere.

You are going to have to be more specific. I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I would probably not dress her in hello kitty and dora the explorer pink gear. I think it is tacky, no offense. I would probably dress her with normal looking clothing with a touch of girly color. If that is what you mean, then no, I don't think dressing well makes you loose your innocence. If you are talking about some 12 year olds I have seen shopping, wearing very low jeans, with their thongs showing (too young to wear thongs by the way) and tiny tops with lots of makeup, I can agree to a point. I would not let a daughter go out like that. But the sad thing is that they are not loosing their innocence, but it is that some men may be viewing them as older than what they are. And this is a problem because it might lead to an unfortunate situation.

Because their idiots and don't have a clue how really dangerous it is out there. They send their little girls out into this cruel world without a chance of defending themselves against that ever waiting predator who is closer than they think. Some women think their little girls are dolls who grow not grow up as soon as they do. They just don't know how much damage they really cause. Wake up young mothers of America, let ur little girls stay little for as long as u can. They grow up fast enough without ur help.

Its the times that we live in and its a shame.

I think children are just accessories to alot of parents. (And I'm not, I repeat, am not bashing working mothers.) But kids are raising themselves more often then not anymore. Growing up much too fast.

And those mother's or fathers who allow their daughters to wear inappropriate clothing are not teaching self-respect & dignity, it really is sad for those children.

I assume your talking about overboard make-up, tiny little skirts, shirts with sexual type messages...that type of stuff.

I would say it is partially responsible for young girls wanting to grow up faster...because their parents either encourage or don't discourage them acting and/or dressing/appearing to be older than they are.

Why do some mothers dress up their daughters in a fashion beyond their age? I don't know why...but I do think it does a disservice to the child.

I agree 100%. These mothers are the ones teaching their daughters to be whores. Then they have the audacity to blame the corruption and vanity of today's girls on Barbie or BRATZ. The truth is, dolls don't dress our daughters, we do.

Sometimes....I think it is an illness of some women to want babies as an extension of their doll play as children.

i dont know......kids are living up to their momas ideals ....it cheapens childhood.parents are guilty of pimping their kids to perves like the guy who said he killed Jon Benet....So sad...then the nation and the world sits back and wonders why these children are lost.....
Kids should be allowed to be kids....

It might be because they want them to look cute, maybe it's a special occasion, or maybe they're talking about what you might be when you grow up. Whatever the reason, it always involves your mom looking into your future.
