Take note!! My hubby has to be reminded (usually the day b4) thats its my birthday! But he's always making me feel special, every day! But my friends hubby brought her flowers and choccies every friday, never worked late at the office and even drove from Scotland on a Friday night to Bath when he was on a course, returning on the sunday and guess what?? Ohhh yes, married 5 years and he went off with someone else. Buying pressies means nothing, theres plenty of other ways to make someone feel special, usually for free.

Let's see -
At about $3 per week, times 52 weeks a year, times 20 years?
A little over $3000 dollars, total?
Would you rather have had this 'gift' in dollars to spend? or is knowing that he supported the flower industry a good thing?

That's really sweet! My hubbie buys me flowers very very occasionally on birthdays or anniversaries (not every year though!) He's not really very romantic but that's just him. He's thoughtful in other ways though. For example I was doing a course for work and he'd been to Staples and came home with a pink hole punch for me!! For me, it meant more than flowers because it's more him!!

There was a point where I put a chocolate on my wife's pillow every night, but she complained I was making her fat, so I stopped.
There was a point where I rented a movie for her once, a month, but she complained that I didn't understand her taste in movies, so I stopped
There was a point where I brought home flowers once a month, but she complained that I never bought the right flowers, so I stopped.
We are at a point where we do nothing. There are no complaints.

Not flowers but lots of other things. SOmetimes chocolates, sometimes little things for the house, sometimes lingerie and even a laptop . We've been married over 20 years and bless him, he still likes to make me happy. He also buys nice things for our children and grandchildren as well xx

no he doesn't. he does get me flowers on mother's day and gifts at christmas. The best things though are that he goes to work every day so that I can afford to stay home with my children. He pays for the roof over our heads so we don't have to be split up and live in a shelter, and we always have food, warmth and love.

Aww that's lovely! I'm not married yet but my boyfriend does buy me flowers! Not every week but I don't care, he's heaven-sent and always makes me feel special! When he does get me flowers, that's a lovely surprise! It does make me wonder what I can buy him spontaneously though!!!!!
