1)She never kisses her husband but always kisses on her dog.
2)She prefers to sleep with her dog more than her husband.
3)Its hard for her to take care of or spend time with both so she considers divorcing her husband.
4)She lays down with her dog at least 2-3 times a day
5)Her and her dog are bound to each other, dog follows her every where....like a literal shadow, waits outside the bathroom while she pees, sleeps under her feet all day, every step she takes the dog is right there.

Is this a little obsessive?

Please dont assume that the husband neglects, beats, or is mean to his wife....he is a good man in every way...it really has nothing to do with him

#1, 2 & 3 worry me because it is not normal behavior for your wife to suppliment or replace her husband with a dog. #4 & 5 is normal behavior for a dog. They pattern after the Alpha member of the pack and that just happens to be your wife.

Normal behavior is for a woman to want to be with a man, not a dog. So wanting to be with a dog more than a man is abnormal.

I am a dog lover... I have two and yes my wife has the dogs around her all the time. But... not during "MY" time. SO....

what should we guys do??? I would get a great big Irish Wolf Hound. I think you can actually saddle this dog and ride it like a horse. Call him 'Tiny'. Wait for him to eat your wifes dog!!! (Just kidding) But maybe your own dog wouldn't be to bad. It would replace those times that your wife isn't spending with you. Remember I said your OWN dog. Don't let her pick it out... then it wouldn't be yours!

Are you the jealous husband? How do you treat your wife? Her dog gives her unconditional love. The dog doesn't yell at her, criticize her& then expect sex like nothing was ever said or done. Maybe you should take lessons from the dog.I doubt that it is a cut and dry that she can't find the time to spend time with both! There is more to it than you say.

Definitely over the top obsession. It is okay to care for a pet but not to the point of ignoring people around you, in this case the poor hubby. Maybe they are having problems but it's not right to treat a dog better than a human being. Dogs are fiercely loyal to people they become attached too and have been known to attack anyone other than the person who idolises it. This person needs psychiatric help!

Maybe so, but my wife is like that with our dogs. They are her children so I understand. She doesn't ignore me though. The dogs follow her everywhere and if she's gone, they won't eat and just sit by the door sulking until she gets back. Remember that dogs give unconditional love always...they never judge you, never ask you why you did something and are always there to comfort you when no one else understands. Try to see it her way and don't be jealous. It doesn't take the place of your love...it's just that animals can be very comforting and are always our best friends no matter what.

She is getting the comfort from her dog that she should be getting from her husband. Why is this? Does her husband take her for granted? Does her husband snuggle with her or just demand sex? Does her husband hug her and give her little kisses as he walks by? She needs the physical attention of snuggling and loving from her husband and has had to substitute the dog in his place to get it.

Maybe she's lacking something in her marriage? Maybe her husband is distant to her? She's going to the dog for attention and unconditional love that she's probably not getting from her husband. Or maybe she's a freak. I don't know.

This is quite obsessive and could get dangerous for the husband, the dog might think that it 'owns' the wife and try to protect her from the husband... things could get nasty.
