TELL HER SHE CAN'T SING .

Suggest they all write a song, and sing it individually. Have the band members and other close friends, or others, vote on who did the best job. If others agree with you, it won't be a suggestion just from you. Have a small concert, or something, and see what the turn out is. I bet you will feel better, and the band will to for all of the recognition! Good luck!!

If she starts a band and the band is not good, then people will not come and see her. Honest people will tell her what they think. Give her pointers on how to improve. Some people may think she can sing. Give her pointers. You are her best friend afterall, you should be able to tell her anything. What are best friends for? Do it in a kind way.

You'll just need to come out and say it. Just tell her her voice doesn't have the right sound for the type of music, and they might have more success with someone else singing. Otherwise she'll be devestated after the gig and you'll feel bad for not tellin her.

Tell your best friend that she isn't such a great singer. Don't tease her, just tell her and she won't get mad. You should also tell her that you are telling her this because you don't want her to get humiliated on the the day of the band's debut. She should be fine with it. Just don't get into a teasing voice!

Why don't you get a tape recorder and ask her to sing into it and then play it back to her and ask her what she thinks of the sound. Then she will have been warned but you are not really involved.

Tell her she has an excellent voice but you don't think its suited to the music you're playing, that its not the type of vocals you want but still amazing.
Believe me,I've had problems like this before,
it works!!
Good Luck!!

Tell her but try and do it in a nice way because it will be a hell of alot worst if she gets a gig and humiliate herself.

Compliment her on her skills and then talk to her about your concerns. Continually bring her skills back into the conversation. Get her to focus on the good, so it overshadows the bad. Compliment her into just playing guitar. Lead her into your way of thinking.

sometimes in life its best to let people learn by their own mistakes and judgements , if she thinks she is good that may help her to perhaps become good , if she realises she is bad that may help her to want to become good , i love karaoke and can judge my self there , i know that some songs i am good at and some songs i am bad at but it dosent stop my ego from trying to be better , except when my girlfriend says dont sing that song , sing this song .... that puts me down because i know myself i am sometimes a bad singer...... so let your Friend learn what she is like by herself xxx
