You people are saying "carnalism" like it's a bad thing. Is this a country where religious conservatives can no longer use force of law to control other peoples sexuality? Absolutely! What is wrong with that? Would most of the people on this forum want to go back to a time where homosexual activity carried a death or prison sentence? It is still against the law in the Armed Forces and most States for a married couple engage in oral or anal sex, or to use any sexual position but the Missionary. Would you agree to having surveillance equipment installed in your bedroom so that the police could monitor your lovemaking and enforce those laws? Mutually enjoyable activity between consenting adults in the privacy of their own home is nobody else's business. The people and laws of the U.S. are coming to respect that, if that makes us a country of "carnalism", it also makes us a country of human rights and freedom.

Yes. Just because we haven't sunk to the level of constant nudity on television or legalized prostitution (in most places) doesn't mean we haven't sunk into moral stagnation in that area.

It's not only okay, but celebrated to have threesomes now. That's considered "exploring your sexuality." Younger and younger kids are having sex, and magazines like "Cosmo girl" and "Seventeen" give them tips on how to do it. There's no set standard for when young people should have sex, instead we fill their minds will feel-good little pithy phrases like "whenever you feel ready."

We worship celebrities because they're young and appealing and sexy-- we (as women) have been taught since childhood that the most important thing we have to offer is our looks and our bodies. (See a movie called "Killing Us Softly 3") I'd say we're sinking into carnalism. At least more so than previous generations. Sex isn't a mindless, meaningless act. But it's being treated as such.

No.
Unless the country is run by a theocracy most countries have a carnal nature to them if you look deeply enough.

Yes. The United States is a country of carnality. Where once Lady Liberty was a bastion of freedom, extending her arms to the poor, the downtrodden and homeless...she has now prostituted herself by inviting in those who would take take advantage of her by destroying the nation from within.

Instead of extending her arms, Lady Liberty has reached the point of opening her legs to anyone serving any god, and bringing their false gods into a Land that once stood free but now sits enchained by her greed, lust and apathy.

Behind the scenes there are those who plan to eradicate freedom entirely, but most of the nation sleeps on, glued to their television or computer screens. They don't know or care, as long as their bellies are full and their favorite "American Idol" wins whatever competition occurs at the moment.

Although most European countries are known for their TV nudity, their attitudes toward sex are not as overtly exposed as America's. (Sweden, long known for its sexuality, would be the exception.) The difference is that the US is a world leader. As such, it influences other nations by its provocative TV shows and sexual behavior. For decades, European men have characterized American women as "easy". Some Muslim rhetoric portrays America as a "whore", clearly seen in Jihadists' film clips on national news. In truth, nations as well as individuals will answer to God on Judgment Day.

In the Bible, Ezekiel speaks about two sisters who go a-whoring. Their names are Ohola and Oholibah. (In some versions spelled Ahola and Aholibah.) Bible prophecy can have several layers of meaning, symbolically. I see these nations, as both Israel, the older, and America, the younger. (They are sisters on the basis of their founding belief in The Living God. )

Israel abandoned the Living God for some time. It seems that only the very Orthodox, Hasidic, or even Messianic Jews now long for Messiah's arrival, and look with expectation to the fulfillment of the many prophecies predicting His Arrival.

America is a nation whose ancient universities such as Harvard, Princeton and Yale started out as seminaries. A covenant with God was the basis for government, evidenced by the Mayflower Compact, every state's constitution, and written on its coins. This nation has become a God-rejecting, money and sex- loving country. Its inhabitants worship idols in every house: Dancing images on TV screens that represent sports heros, singers, movie stars, cars, houses and food. The people gaze in rapt attention for hours while their freedom swirls down the toilet and they can't even smell the odor. It's carnal all right. The odor of dead meat. It stinks in God's nostrils.

American has had her "Wake-up Call." She promptly fell back to sleep. Now only the prayers of Believers in The Living God can delay or lessen the judgment coming upon America.

Yes, to a large extent...but I don't think it's particularly unique to the US...I think it's at least a worldwide fantasy.

No. We are just free to express it. Being horny is not a political thing, it is a human thing. The difference is that other countries in the world repress it.

If you look at European countries where you can have nudity on commercials and sex is spoken about freely, I think you can say that the US is rather conservative actually.
