In Jan., Feb., and March, Santa takes a vacation at the South Pole. Then he gathers the elves and orders them to start making toys and feeding the reindeer. He lays around the rest of the year while Mrs. Clause stuffs him with beer and ham. On Dec. 24, the elves prop him up and shove him in the sleigh, hook up the reindeer, tweak Rudolph's nose and off Santa goes to spread good cheer.

In the Santa dimension, there isn't a lot of other time in the rest of the year. Santa stops time for the entire world so he can make all of his rounds, and it takes him most of a Santa-year to perform all his tasks in what seems like one day to us.
After he has finished he returns to the regular dimension, catches some rest, and next thing he knows, it is November again, and he has to get ready to go again.

After Christmas, he takes a 10 month vacation in a desert island.
Then after Halloween, he returns to the pole to prepare for Christmas and gets busy.

He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good - so be good for goodness sake. That is what he does all year - watches your behavior and supervises his elves in getting the presents ready!! Be good!
