I've tried working in the gym , but I got the exact opposite - the muscles grew underneath the fat tissue , so now they're even bigger...

Not really, the surgical correction is not too bad though.

Are you aware that many men have *some* breast development? Are you also aware that 1% of breast cancer is diagnosed in men?
I have diagnosed breast cancer in tissue removed from gynecomastia done for cosmetic reasons. I don't mean to scare you, as this almost certainly won't happen to you, but you should have all the information.

Hormone manipulation won't change it, unfortunately, and weight loss only to the degree that you can lose the fat around it. It actually may accentuate it more.

The question is, do you want to make your breasts look bigger, or smaller? In most cases, males who develop gynecomastia grow out of it. If you've been to see your doctor, and everything checks out ok, they WILL go away, and you'll be normal for you. If the increased size is bothersome, or you are getting teased at school, assuming you are still in school, then I suggest an ace wrap or some other binding wrap. Just be sure you launder the wrap or whatever other cloth you use, since it will be right against your skin for long periods of time, and will be placed directly under your armpits. Also, only wear the wrap when necessary. If you leave yourself bound for too long, you will experience tenderness and maybe even some swelling throughout the area you're binding. Binding your chest will not make it smaller. Only time will do that. If you want to show them off, which most males do not, then by all means, find a woman you trust and go shopping. However, like I said before, they will usually go away on their own. If you have ANY type of discharge from them, go straight to the ER or your family doctor and have it checked out. Also, do not worry about your skin being streched out. You will not end up with 'saggy boobs' like so many females experience. If you're worried about a bra for that reason, then rest easy. I hope this has answered your question!!

I'm 19. I was a fat kid growing up. As I got older and lost the weight, I never lost the man-boobs. They got smaller and less noticeable when I was doing intense weight lifting for about a year. I think some of it had to do with building the top of my chest and pulling the fat up and also had to do with building up my abs so they stuck out a little more. I would really avoid surgery. I know of a guy that had it done and later he lost one of his nipples as a result of the surgery. When you find the right girl, it won't matter. My woman loves it.

Well weight loss reducess the size of womens breast tissue so I suspect the same for men. I would however check out the internet for a website that deals with your specific condition. Or talk to your doctor.

Not really, although if you lose some weight they will go down a bit, I think the only solution if they are really bothering you is to go to your GP and ask for them to be reduced surgically, if they don't bother you, then leave them alone, another way of course is to go to a Gym and work on your pecs, turn them into muscle

Check with your doctor. It might be a hormonal thing which could be corrected with medication. If not, he can give you the proper recommendations to correct the situation. Good luck.
