why do health teachers lie and project propaganda to our youth with extremities and statements that lack sense such as.
you kno that pot captured in the 70's and tested the thc level on it, and then recently found out its more potent. are these people stupid or are trying so hard to keep kids away from buddha? and why do health teachers subject themselves to this? when i was in school, i could point out the lies every sentence. apparently if you throw all the trash and markers and plastic on the ground and light it on fire, it will cause the equavalent damage to your lungs as one hit of pot.
Even if it is getting more potent, wouldn;t that be better? considering the more thc content to make your high quicker and better and stronger, but "its worse" and they said thc is deadly, which contains no chemical qualities causing impossible to o.D, my question is, is that should we talk about the positive side effects of pot rather than the negative in schools and national campaings?

I do agree that we are very selective in what we promote or ban. Alcohol, Cars, Cigarettes, Fatty foods are all legal yet they individually cause more harm and fatalities than pot ever has. They either take a stronger stance on everything or need to relax the view of pot. I do think it needs to be a controled substance but not an illegal one.

Pot now is much more potent. I actually went to Amsterdam twice, which is the BEST place in the world to go to if you love pot (and it's an absolutely gorgeous city, full of fantastic food and culture). That said, since the 1970's, people have been 'breeding' different strains of reefer. Sometimes it's done by actual geneticists. The typical Jamaican outdoor-grown stuff is going to be the same, but anything considered 'heady' will definitely be stronger. HOWEVER, there is nothing more dangerous about having more THC, except the fact that you get higher....which isn't really dangerous unless you're being stupid and driving around. You should check out High Times, and the Cannabis Cup. The Cannabis Cup is a competition held in Amsterdam every year, and the different strains are judged. It's pretty amazing, and very competitive. A lot of research and hard work goes into growing the best pot, which, as you can imagine, means that Amsterdam is full of it. Growing pot that is extremely high in THC takes a lot of patience! I'm not sure if there's a website for it, but there's a place in Amsterdam called the Cannabis College for Cannabis Knowledge. It's a great little museum, full of facts about marijuana. You'd love it.

Well pot is illegal and just like someone else said the government isn't going to change that anytime soon. Instead of getting on here and saying that we should be teaching grade schoolers the benefits of an illegal drug why don't you do some research of your own?
You would have made a much better argument if you stated how some people are doing more time in prison for marijuana use then rapists.
Hemp fields can produce an oil that can power cars and takes up 50% less space then corn fields.
Marijuana is known to cure AIDS and Cancer patients of cronic nausea and helps glaucoma patients relax their eyes long enough to heal.
These are just a few facts that come to the top of my head. These facts make a much better argument for the legalization of marijuana. Also because of the use of new fertilizers they are discovering that some pot can be very damaging to the lungs. So even though they do seem to be blowing it way out of proportion in a sense they do have some grounds to say these things. Also what does marijuana have to do with buddha? He didn't do drugs. He was a pure being who needed no extra ordinary substances to help him become enlightened.

Just how much pot were you smoking when you wrote this???!!!

THC, like it or not, is a chemical that does impact your brain functioning...period. So you may not OD, but you will affect your brains ability to do its job. . .so, do enough of it and you'll find yourself unable to keep up with your university classwork, responsibilities of your job, not to mention how it impacts your relationships...if your brain is messed up, so are YOU!

For you to promote its use among impressionable youths is irresponsible. If getting high is what your life is centered around, I feel sorry for you. You are missing out on life.

Sweetie, pot is illegal. And the government is not going to agree to their employees (teachers, they do work for the government you know) to express any opinions that are contrary to the governments opinion.

Until our government figures out that prohibition does not work, what you are suggesting will NEVER happen.

And the "lies" about the potency are the only fight the government has left in its failed War On Drugs. Scare tactics, pure and simple.
