How do I stop all these spam phone calls...?

I`m in England and I`m ex-directory but on almost a daily basis I`m bombarded with un-solicited calls...often they are from foreign call centres and I havent a clue what they are saying....

I`m afraid these calls are a night mare we all have to put up with..I`m ex directory too but it doesn't stop them..I have become rather rude and just hang up ...

Answer every call as
"Agent 527 of Scotland Yards"

When they don't say anything for awhile say
"This line is for information of the homicide last night do you any? Not answering though...(whisper) okay tracing of call almost complete, boys we have a possible lead...."

They'll quit calling after they realize they'll be implicated or connected.

OR

Answer, "Anti-Spam Lawyers, Inc. -We've never lost a case ever and won millions in class action suits, how may I direct your call..."

Change your phone number again. Also you can buy phones that block unwanted calls, I think Radio Shack also sells something like the tele-zapper.

I know in America there is a do-not-call list, but I don't know about England though.

lol,dang i hate that too,cqll you phone center and asked toget off list,i know in some places they have a blockon callers like that

Whenever they call just simply tell them to take you off their call-list.
