I access the internet through a 3G/GPRS Data card I found it was very slow at "getting on sites" so I have bought "ONSPEED" that is supposed to speed things up, but after a few days it seems slow again, is there anything else I can do? I am a reletive novice to computers and do not have access to a phone line

Have you a lot of temporary Internet files, to check click tools, Internet Options, settings, view files. When finished viewing close window. Then modify settings, if you want clear cookies & files. I would also suggest that in settings with regard to checking for newer versions of stored pages you check Never or Every visit to page.

That's caused by surfing internet porn. Every time you do, it downloads spyware into your computer to steal passwords, credit card info etc. but doesn't check to see if it's already running on your machine. Once you have a few hundred copies of the trojan running in the background, your machine runs slow as molassas. Only a full reinstallation of windows, complete with deleting the old partition and formating a new one, will solve the problem.

laptops have cooling fans in the base to save space so try using the support struts at the back to allow airflow space underneath and this can help in keeping it cool.
