what will the next era be?

you know like the 20s were the Lost generation and then followed the Beat generation(which spawned the hippies)....what do you think the next generation will be labeled as and what will make it different/simliar to all previous generations???

I think it may be called the Second Dark Age. I say this not because I am a pessimist, but because the global trends all point in that direction. We will still have great centers of power (like China) but for many people the results of global warming, the increasing natural disasters, the endless wars for profit, and the domination of capitalism on a massive scale will make life pretty grim for most of us.

The next generation will be the virtual generation: connected only through technology (weak family ties, no loyalty to employers, ideologies etc.), no emotional connection with people, fixated on self-pleasure and money. They will move in a world groaning with old people in nappies and the street over-run with crime as the world's poor fight it out to be part of the 'virtual generation'.

The Dead Era.
Technology will advance and almost everyone will be a recluse.
No need to go out into the fresh air.
We will lose our ability to fight disease because we have become so clean, killing almost all the good bacteria with bleaches, etc.
Obesity will kill millions because we have no need to exercise.
Food will become processed muck, cropped by robotic machines and feed to us through great expanses of tubing.
Mental eh !!!
