yeah it does. lots of trials have been done on that. it is high in some chemicals that help in reducing the uterus contraction. banana also does the same to mentrual pain.
chocolate can help in improving the mood too, because it is high in sugar.

Actually it can make them worse because chocolate has caffeine in it. I read that dairy is good for cramps. Also, if you have a heating pad, that will help a lot! If your craving chocolate during your period then make a glass of chocolate milk. You'll get your dairy and most chocolate syrups or powders do not have caffeine.

I've never heard of such a thing. Chocolate is something a lot of women crave before or during a period, but the usual treatment for cramps is an anti-inflammatory.

What I do is just take some advil and while i'm waiting for that to set in I steam some baby carrots and other veggies in the microwave. I don't know if the vegtables help everyone but it's worth a shot plus it helps you get water that can help with "flushing out your system" or what ever experts say water does. no not really. What u need to do is drink something warm so the blood can go through easliy. If u drink/eat cold stuff it'll bunch up and when it goe's through since it crambed up and big that'll cauz cramps.

I have always heard to avoid chocolate and caffeine during "that time"...............wouldn't ya know it it's what I crave during "that time".......go figure!
