My Glowlight Tetras are getting beautiful light bluish tips on their fins. The Pet Store woman said they were getting "breeding colors." Does that mean they will spawn in my tank? (assuming of course there are males and femail in the tank) And does that give me an indication of their age?

From what Ive read all tetras require subdued lighting, lots of plants and soft acidic water (peaty) to breed, with the aid of lots of live food. They need plant cover to lay their eggs in and to protect them until they hatch. If they do hatch, remove the fry and put them in a hatchery and feed them liquifry No 1 (for egg layer fry).
I'm not saying that it wont happen its just unlikely and there are easier fish to breed.
I cant find any onfo about their possible age. The link below is all about glowlight tetras

Tetras rarely breed in a tank unless you go out of your way to do so. Glowlights breed the same as most other tetras.

What size is your tank? If it is large enough, maybe!
