Come on. You already know why. For the same reason a woman can call another woman the "B" word without it having the same meaning as when a man uses it; why gays can call each queens and queers without it being offensive the way it would be if a straight used those terms; why Italians can call each other greasers; Irish can call each other mics and Mexicans can call each other wetbacks while others can't. Terms that may be offensive when applied to members of a group by outsiders have a different meaning when communicated within the group. This isn't news.

Get over it already.

i'm mixed so i tend to joke both ways with friends. Like they call me a burnt cracker and i call them a cracker or the n word if there black. But if I call a white person whos not a friend a cracker that's the same as calling a black person the n word.

Cause their like brothers and brothers can insult each other!lol
najust kidding, its probably due to comfort, when a black person insults a white person its a bit odd, and vise versa. so Black to black same race is the safest way to play !

Trust me i have a few friends they do the same thing its odd but u get used to it!

It is not appropriate for anyone to insult another person. I heard Reverand Al Sharpton say that he used to engage in some of this type of bantering but now sees it was wrong and tells others of his new approach.

It's like this I can say whatever bad I want about my kids, but don't you dare. Same thing amongst black people if one refers to another using the n word he means that the 2nd is somewhat not with it.

I don't think it's okay for anyone to insult people. I get offended when I see people within the same race doing it too. It is rude and shouldn't be done and also confuses others. You can't complain when people make rude comments to you if they hear you doing it yourself.

Because for white people to insult them it is a real insult. When they do it to each other its all fun and games. Stupid if you ask me.
