You can't really love God without dying for him first while living. God is not part of the reality created by our senses, nor part of our conditionned mind subjected to duality.

We are all going to die... better to get acquainted with God first.

Dear Dodol D,

I do love my heavenly Father, but more importantly He loves me!!!

More than 15 years ago before I knew the awesome uncreated Creator of the universe very well, I told him that IF my death would cause my husband to become a Christian then I would gladly give it.

However, the answer I got was that God wanted me to live for Him and allow Him to reveal His glory to my loved ones through me.

LIVING for God means dying to self.
That makes me a Winner.

First of all, i think this is a very good question. this is something we should all think about. IF we were to die in the name of GOD, would we? It depends.

This DOES NOT mean that we can just kill ourselves for something stupid. (e.g. there is a drought where you live and you think that it will be better if you die, and kill yourself, or get someone to kill you.)

We should die over things that God approves of. (e.g. Fighting in self-defence or in defence of a brother(s) of the same Faith, or an ally.) this is not, whatever SensitiveMe@yahoo.com thiks, called suicide. you are forgetting that God is the one who actually gave you life in the first place, and it is He whom you return to (death). so therefore, if you die for His cause or sake, you are being martyred, not commiting suicide.

so yes, i would if i could, but, like someone said earlier, i wont know for sure until i am in that situation. i mean, i wish i was brave enough to be a soldier of God.

I would never need to die for God.

no one should love god because god is just a thing which we believe that that he is there to help us. we never think of god when we feel good and only when we need help we say ''god help me''. as per my point there is no god and you are your own god. so look at god from another point, people who believe in god are lost in their religion but I'm not against them but if someone is going something like killing or dieing, i feel angry and i think they should stop all this. i think all this Jesus and other god where really there but they all were aliens. if you search about gods you will prove 75% that they were aliens. so you better think what are you believing.

Living for God is much harder than dying for Him.

if God told me to die for him like a martyr i probably wouldn't do it because it's like taking my life indirectly and that's still suicide!

if presented with that situation i think it would probably depend on the purpose... if it is to save humankind like what Jesus did, then yes I would, but if it's just a situation wherein an harmful nonbeliever holding a gun pointed at me and asking me if i do believe in God then i would certainly deny my faith...you save two lives by denying your faith... you save yourself and you save that to-be-murderer from burning in the flames of hell for committing homicide.

No need! God has already died for you!

Only when we are presented with that situation, can we truly answer that question.
