That is only partially true, democrats get reported also, it really does go both ways, some of them I deserved but most were just somebody reporting me about little or nothing. I personally just give a thumbs down and move on if I disagree with an asker. Unless a person is completely out of hand and using profanity, there is no reason to report somebody for just a disagreement as far as I am concerned.

Because right now it's popular to blame all the country's problems on the Republican Party. Bush is standing right out in front and often doing one of two things. The first thing is saying something stupid, which doesn't help. Regardless of your (speaking in general terms) patriotism, you have to admit that man has made a lot of bonehead comments in front of the camera. The other thing is telling yet another lie. That doesn't help much either as many people have stopped even pretending they believe him.
The economy (I live in Michigan. From where I'm standing the US economy is not doing "great" like the news keeps saying), the "War on the Middle Class", the war in Iraq, illegal immigration. A lot of it is blamed (most rightly so) on big business agenda. The Republican Party is seen as the party of big business. Big Business "Bad" = Republican Party "Bad Guys".
And since Democrats are the polar opposites of Republicans (or portray themselves to be) that must make them the good guys, right? You can't bad mouth the good guys.
Personally, I find it idiotic to blame all your problems on a political party. The Biggest Money (special interest groups) typically runs the show regardless of whose in power. And contrary to what I learned in my HS Government class, I highly doubt the power of one man (I mean the president, of course) to actually do anything. His opinions have been made for him by who ...political advisors controlled by The Biggest Money. Most of what he says about his political agenda is scripted. I think its just a figurehead role. But I'm getting off on a tangent.
To answer your question, because right now the Republican Party is evil (like "they eat puppies"- evil) and the Democrats are supposed to save us from them.

I'm no fan of bush, and those that don't like my questions and answers have deleted me many times. Maybe we can all believe in freedom of expression and stop that kind of infantile behavior.

Because dems think they know best how everyone should behave. That's why dems tend to be socialists.
They say they believe in freedom but only if it's THEIR idea of freedom.
They believe in freedom of speech until a REPUB starts to speak then they interrupt or shout them down.

Reported? Reported to whom?
This is a free country; we enjoy the right to speak out against our government and its leadership.
If anyone makes 'nasty' comments, it's the morons on Fox "News" and that loudmouth Nazi, Rush Limbaugh. -RKO-

That's the way it is in real life too. They are the kids who take their ball and go home when they don't get their way or if you insult them.
