Do both. Jeans and a T-shirt with a sport coat (Grey tweed). Jeans should be new (belt optional). T-shirt,, new... clean, white and tight. The sport coat can be taken off later. This is also good if you have any ink on your arms that you may or may not want to show. If you wear your face clean... don't shave. (Go in look'n like Don Johnson) Your boots (I said boots not shoes) should be black with a high polish. Jewelry... a watch... nothing else. (Believe me... it sends the right message to the ladies)
Attitude... wear a good one because no matter what you wear, your attitude will be the first thing people see.
Have fun!!!

Casual dress is always good for this type of social setting. Jeans are fine but definitely not a t-shirt. Instead, where a nice polo shirt or, if you're feeling ambitious, wear a button up, collered shirt. The shoes will pull it all together. A nice black dress shoe, no sneakers allowed!!! For an extra touch, splash on your favorite cologne!

Dress up. When you make an effort you always feel good and that's a good way to start the night.
