I am guessing that you are experiencing asain ladybugs looking for a place to overwinter. People everywhere are experiencing the same thing this time of year. These ladybugs will crawl into every crack and crevice in order to find protection from winter weather. Many of them will find their way into your house. Best advice is to vacuum them up and spray some insecticide in the bag before you dispose of it or they will just crawl back out. do not mash them since they emit a foul odor when crushed. They are a nuisance, but do no real harm.

They seem to invade older clapboard homes more than any others because of the cracks and crevises in the siding. Short of sealing and caulking, there is not much you can do but live with them.

You might want to do a Yahoo search for "lady bug infestation" or "asain lady bugs" (include the quotation marks in the Yahoo search box) and explore some of the results.

Good luck with your problem.
