i've tried a few mascaras already.but sometimes,im not satisfied with the look they make of me when i use them for a certain period of time.to name a few,i've used maxfactor's masterpiece mascara, loreal volume shock and telescopic mascara and maybeline turbo express( the latest version). and as for the eyeliner,i've only used rimmel kohl eye pencil in black and brown but they smudge although they are nice..can you suggest me what eyeliners and mascaras to use? ones that can last for long even if it is not water-proof and doesn't smudge easily...i got almond-shape eyes and are brown in color as im asian..can you also suggest me how to apply a liquid eyeliner correctly? what im after is the definition, volume and longer lashes for my eyes...thanks!

Hi-

I like L'Oreal Double extend for mascara in waterproof...makes lashes longer and thicker.

Eyeliner...I actually use wet eyeshadow with a brush. If you go to the MAC counter, they can show you how to do it. They also have many colors of shadow, including black and brown. The reason I like using the eyeshadow is that it is easier to control and can be blended like a pencil, but gives you a distinct line of a liquid if you want it. The pencils also smudge...wet eyeshadow will stay on all day after it dries. I used to get raccoon eyes with the pencil, but haven't had it since I started doing this.

Good luck!

Best eyeliner: STILA SMUDGE POT.

I was skeptical when i first tried it because i was use to pencils and stuff but it works real well. It doesn't smear and smudge unless you want it to and it stays on for a very very long time. The smudge pot runs about $16 and all you need is a an eyeliner brush. It's actually easier to use than it looks. You can get it at a stila store or sephora.

Best mascara : LANCOME

You can also get this at sephora, I use the one that curls your eyelashes and I never have to use the eyelash curler anymore. There's different kinds (including lengthening, curling, defining and other ones). Each of them have a regular mascara and a waterproof one availabe too.

Hi, fellow asian friend, i have the same problem! i cant apply liquid eyeliner to save my life! so i just use a eyeliner pencil, the way to apply it is to look down into a hand mirror for a good line. I use an eyeliner called Hashmi sulma in the pencil variety(which you can get from almost any indian store)
Maybelline do Great Lash Mascara which is the best seeling mascara in the world and had been selling for 35years so it must be good and i think it is (ive got the waterproof one) why not use that after curling your eyelashes too or you could get them permed at a beauty salon or a college, i had mine done for £5 from my college and it lasted for 3 months. :)

bad gal lash mascara is definately one of the best i have ever used. May be a little more pricey than the usual bourjois or rimmel but worth every penny. All benefit make up is highly recommended by me.
Urban decay skyscraper mascara is also very good with its pointed end which can be used to seperate and define your lashes.
Again urban decay do a very good black eyeliner which i find stays on better than most. Visited the website urbandecay.com and take a look. The website is American but if you are in the UK you can find this make up in stores such as debenhams.
I also have an eyeliner by red earth, which has a pencil on one end and a sponge pad (like a make up applicator) on the other end which allows you to smudge and blend to create the best look. Red earth has now been discontinued so you may have trouble finding this but you may find it on ebay. Godd luck i hope you find the perfect make up for you

OK different mascaras work for different people e.g if you have long lashes you wont a volume and curl mascara and not a lengthening one with eyeliners its so simple...Chanel eyeliner yes £14 but stays on and does not smudge at the end of your eye its is amazing and mascara benefit bad gal lash is pretty impressive u should go for samples and ask professionals what one is for you.

There's a mascara called lash architect (can't remeber who it's by) and it's good, although you have to replace it quite quickly. I get the same thing: I buy mascara's they're great at the start and then suddenly they become crap. For great eyeliners go to Virgin Vie (although I don't recommend their mascaras) If you have a Virgin Vie party (which is free, and if people buy stuff you get free make up) and the girl who comes is trained so you can try on the different products and she will show you how to apply liquid eyeliner

a million- Eyeliner & Mascara- even with the undeniable fact that i like eyeshadow, eyeliner incredibly transforms your look in a directly! Eyeliner could make your eyes look greater and brighter and would even provide the phantasm of fixing your eye shape. Eyeliner shall we your eyes stand out so lots greater vs. eyeshadow. the only situation is that's diffucult getting carried out the artwork of eyeliner and the place you should positioned it (top lash line, backside lash line, waterline) yet as quickly as you learn this is suitable ! additionally eyeliner could make your look greater dramatic and edgy or much greater polished and prepare. #2- I truthfully consider you: Mascara! It provides definition, frames your eyes in a manner eyeliner won't be able to. It seems so lots greater organic, and that i could somewhat have finished and long lashes somewhat than lining my eyes. in basic terms a makeup lover's opinion ! (:

MAC do a Prep & Prime mascara, which is basically that white stuff you put on before real mascara. Then use any MAC mascara in black. Makes yours lashes really long and defined without them looking like spider's legs! They are worth investing in. I started using MAC about a year ago, and loads of people have commented on how nice my eye make up is. Will never use a different brand.

In eyeliner i love the liquid Maybelline Express i ind it easiest to apply by pulling my eyelid tight and drawing the line as close to the lashes as possible.
Mascara Maybelline volume boost works wonders for my eyes and brings out the lashes fantastically.
