Okay, this is what happened. At high school, i was in a fight with another student who is smaller than me. The fight was broken up after the first punch, and that student hit me and i was injured. Right now, all my friends and classmates thinks i got bashed and even my girlfriend knows about this as well. If i fight him, i might get supsended and since he has more friends then me, i will probably be hated. but on the other hand, if i won, i would get my pride back, and my repetation with my gf woudl go up. so what do you think i should do?

I've won and lost fights, but i've never felt pride in victory, and the pain of defeat is only short term. Screw what people think and do what you feel is right. Does this guy deserve to get his *** kicked?like if he hit you first for no reason, then do it. If you are positive you can whoop him and its no big deal then let it slide. If you are doing the right thing and your friends give you sh it than get new friends.

Don't fight. You are the better MAN for not throwing the first punch, let alone any punch at all!
You are the more mature one, the more responsible one, the more honorable one. The other one is a wus and a baby and has no self-control or maturity.

Pat yourself on the back and if you lose friends over this, even your gf, then sorry my man, they weren't worth having in the first place.

take it from a former school bully, it won't matter later to you.
unfortunately i NEVER walked away from a fight, picked on people for no reason, finished every fight ever broken up and so on.....it haunts me and believe me, i got my share of a$$ kicking later by my ex husband. it's all about karma and I got mine.
I'm a better person now. I didn't deserve to have my a$$ kicked by my ex, nor did the people i fought deserve what they got.
Forget it, laugh it off, but more importantly apologize while you still can. Life's too short.

It takes a bigger man to forgive and walk away...if your so called friends ,including your girlfriend don't understand ...then it's simply time to find new friends... your feelings may be hurt for a bit,but you get over it...life's experiences aren't always what we want them to be
