I hear that many suppliers of Chicken to KFC Restaurants plunge live Hens into Boiling Water as the Feathers come off easier.
Google to check it out......

It's true they are supposed to be electricuted before being plunged into boiling water, but they are not always dead say my sources who work in the business.

LIVE hens are not plunged into boiling water...however the chickens are slaughtered before hand then the process of preparing the meat for packaging and consumption follows. Many times our society fixes on one aspect of a process for which we are not exposed to on a daily basis. Too often we are naive to the work that is done to reach the final product. If you think KFC is at fault for the treatment of the animal then what do you say for the millions of restaurants, grocery stores, butchers and farmers who proceed in this fashion to provide for a commercial culture such as ours? Correction: KFC prepares fried chicken and chicken dishes for a commercialized food industry because you and we, as a society, require convenience. If you think what goes on in industry is horrible or barbaric investigate how third world countries operate. You would be disturbed.

This is a vicious rumor. Yes, the hens are plunged into boiling water, which is called a scalder and the feather do come off easier by going through a picking machine. But, before any of this takes place, the birds are killed by a stunner machine, powered by electric current. The birds are killed instantly.

Scalding water is how most large companies remove feathers, it's the cheapest and easiest way. The birds are not alive when they hit the water, it's against the Humane Slaughtering Act. That's why there are USDA inspectors in those facilities.

Well I have never been to a KFC in my life or if I have I know I've never bought anything from there. Because my parents always told me it was bad and that Popeyes had better chicken.

Why would any body want to eat battered sorbo rubber, is more the question?! Such so called 'fast foods' are not only ghastly to the taste, but they don't do you any good healthwise, either. Furthermore, as your question implies, they perpetute cruelty to the birds/animals used. Incidentally, as far as bird flu is concerned, it will be wild birds you will have to worry about. So do we take action now and shoot every wild bird we can find?

Wait till I tell you what I found out this week. We stayed with friends in Pennsylvania, and their neighbour was mennonite and raised chickens for eggs for one of the big companies, he said the old roosters are taken by the company to make canned chicken noodle soup, and nuggets! Now, isn't that gross!!!!!!!!! we are actually eating roosters! Yuck!!!!!!

yeah, i've heard that too. *sigh* it's hard to tell what's true and what's not true in this country anymore. the only way you can find out is if you are actually there witnessing it. as for me, i'd have to actually be there to believe it. but personally, i don't even like kfc's chicken, their mashed taters and biscuits are better : p

shocking, and shouldn't be allowed, but have you ever eaten lobster or crab? these are both boiled alive so they are tender. some would say we are a barbaric race but we are meat eaters. from what i understand chickens are usually electrocuted and decapitated so i think worrying about how they are killed is a bit of nit picking.
I can honestly say i have thought many times about becoming a vegi', the problem is i am on a low income due to disability and i could not afford to feed my family if it was not for chicken fillets being so cheap.
At least we don't eat dogs!!!!
