What can we do to protect children from being kicked out of their homes and made to live on the street?

Irresponsible parents. Do not blame the children----it is not their fault. Parents are suppose to protect and provide for their children and bring them up in the teachings of the Bible. When this does not happen then children go astray. Rather than take responsibility for their errors and take corrective action, the parent or parents blame the child and kick them out. This is a terrible sin. the only solution is Jesus Christ---getting Christ into the household from the very beginning of the family, or after a family is broken, getting Christ into the household so that he can heal the wounds and get the family back together again. A family that does not have Jesus Christ at its center is doomed to have problems----I know from personal experience that this is true. I was not always a Christian and experienced great difficulties because of it. The courts are no answer because there is no love in the law. No judge can force a parent to love his/her child/children. Love must come from Jesus Christ, the source of all love.

The problem I think starts with the parents...too many parents are working and wrapped up in other things to really concentrate on their kids....kids then turn to peers for advice etc, which most of the time ends up with the kids turning down the wrong path. Parents by then don't seem to be able to control there kids because it's too late and the problem then escalates and the parents seem to think the problem to the solution is to kick the child out on the street.

Parents, should be more involved with their children and the main thing is to listen and help them with their problems.....

By the way...this is a great question....

Most often it is because they are the children of "meth addicts". The ONLY hope for these children is to remove them from the abusive parents. And yes, the children of addicts are abused by neglect. It is a problem of such magnitude it could spell the complete collapse of our country.
