Well, there a few reasons.
[1] He has to foot the responsibility of raising children he did not father but instead came from her screwing some other guy who she considers a loser.
[2] The ex will forever be a part of those kids' lives - like it or not. If he is a jerk, then life is hell - she is focused on the ex all the time, even is she does not realize that's what she is doing. What fun!
[3] This is always the case about the woman, but for some guys it is a signal from the woman - "I have screwed lots of outlaw biker guys and gotten knocked up a few times and now I want to settle down and find a responsible guy who will pay the bills and not demand sex from me."
That's inflammatory but I've seen it written that way by women and heard it from guys so just reporting what I hear.
[1] and [2] are much more common reasons, however.

Blended families, perhaps they do not want to raise another mans children, or he does not want the responsibility of children. Women also avoid marrying men with children. This is a personal choice and has several different reasons behind it. God bless

Because the father of those children will always be in the background, and because a lot of times (not always) the kids don't like the stepdad & there's conflict in the home. It's just too much drama.
But, if a man & woman really love each other it shouldn't matter if they each have 10 kids from previous relationships.

ya question should be why do SOME men avoid marrying women with kids because my wife has a child to a previous unmarried relationship

It's very difficult for a woman to relinquish the responsibility to the new man in their lives. She may feel like he is being unfair to her children and he feel the kids will be out of control or run all over him without his, for lack of better words, authority.

Several reasons,
The children themselves are a burden, financialy & socially...
What was the womans history that produced these children ?
It may not be a good history..Illigitimate ? , divorce reasons ?
Other mens children often create a barrier between man & wife.

Same reason woman don't want man with kids. It complicates the relation ship from the start and always be a very touchy subject.

because they are not ready to take the job of being a father ...or maybe, they are scared of taking care of children because they dont know how...lastly, because obviously the child/children will really not love the man as a father because he is not their real dad...
