Oh yes, if Phil isn't around, who can we blame the defeats on then?

Well, Phil Neville will always be consistent, but not top class.
Joey Barton is a moronic thug who should not be given the chance to represent his country until he grows up...and what the Hell does anyone see in Jenas ? he must be the most over rated player in the Premiership.

I would like to see Kevin Nolan in there, for his energy & will to win.

I do not think he should be in the squad. If he were that good a player Man Utd would not have let him go. I would love to see Gareth Barry in the squad. He was great last year when the Villa were playing badly and he is playing even better this season. He can play full back or midfield and he scores goals with either foot. Obviously McLaren does not like him.

Phil Neville is in the England squad because he is versatile he would probably not make the starting eleven but is useful to have in the squad in case of injuries etc. Although this is not so important for one off friendly matches or qualifying games when you get to major tournaments like the World Cup you get lots of suspensions ,injuries or chances to rest your best players and therefore it is best to have one versatile player who can play in many positions rather than use up places in your squad to cover every position.

I am glad that Johnson/Bent are being looked at as we need to be more mobile up front.

I'd rather have Gazza playing than Phil Neville, and as for being overlooked, its a while since any England manager has noticed the wealth of quality currently to be found in Bristol Citys squad!

Phil Neville's a good utility player, but I don't think he's good enough considering the wealth of talent england has at the moment.

Rather, They need to call up Scott Parker. I can't believe he's been overlooked time and again, despite his stellar performances week in week out for Newcastle.

He's a good team player? and therefore should be in d squad. And besides we always need a fall guy when the team messes up. And voila! Phil
