You will get though this and over this. Just keep this in mind as you go through more embarassing and painful moments during the next few days or weeks as this episode winds down.

You already show some understanding of your problem, believe it or not! The psychologist can help you sort through the rest.

Be glad your parents can keep you out of the system. Poor kids get treated like real criminals from the get go. Use this relatively free pass to learn more about yourself, and how to stay of trouble!

Good luck!!

P.S. Every teen either takes something from a store, or thinks seriously about it! Almost all stop this behavior. Maybe it's because shopping is a little like hunting and there's an instinct to bag some game.

Stealing is bad karma. You probably did it because you were acting out and feeling like you wanted to do something risky. You probably got a adrenaline rush from the fear of getting caught, but you just took a chance anyway maybe because you wanted to get caught for attention or you wanted to do it just to see if you could get away with it. Hopefully you will learn your lesson. Stealing raises prices for everyone else who is honest and pays hard earned money for their items. Maybe if you are having a hard time in your life you should go talk to a specialist so that you do not begin to act out in other areas as well. Stay out of trouble and be honest. You are lucky to be able to afford what you want and to have parents who take care of you.

I think one of the reasons why a wealthy person shoplifts is that they are seeking attention. Examine your life - did you enjoy or were you relieved to be caught? If so, there may be a 'void' in your life that you are trying to fill and you don't even realize it. Perhaps if you spoke to your pastor or school counselor they could help you, or a psychologist if you have these type of urges frequently. I wish you well! God bless!

You are by the sound of it looking to seek attention.
Maybe there is something going on with the family or you have reached a juxtaposition in your life i.e. exams and you subconsciously are seeking a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to!

I hope that everything works out for you and you go on to great things.

Making a mistake is one thing, repeating them is something very different. Think wisely about the path that you follow.

Now, go face the issue today.

Hey everyone makes mistakes, you learn from it and move on. Stats show that most people who shoplift actually have more than enough money on them for the things they steal. Just take it as a lesson, youve experienced it, now time to move on from there...
