how can one have hairless and white underarm...without going through surgery..which is better to pluck the hair or shave?

plucking...very tedious and rather painful at first but after doing it for a few months, the hair strands become thinner, it is less dense and its less painful too. Worth the effort. Shaving is much more convinient and faster but the hair does grow more course with time.

Laser surgery or electrolysis. Electrolysis is not as expensive but it is very, very painful. Laser does not hurt but is very expensive. The laser is attracted to the melanin in the hair and therefore zaps only dark hairs, not blonde ones. It will take six or seven treatments at about 300 each and it is permanent. Myself, for the money, I would rather shave my underarms.

Laser Surgery its costly but its the only effective way
its about $200-$300 per session and about 7 sessions in all.
