I live in Greece, in June we are going to have a Pan-Hellenic competition for admission to universities in Greece only and everyone studies their special subjects including me. But my dream is not to study in a Greek University, i want to go to the United Kingtom or in the USA to study as a lawyer or as a musik teacher. I want so much to do that and i have already made applications to the universities which i am interested in but i need to learn English because my spelling is so stupid and i don't have time to learn all the things that are needed. Please tell me, what can i do? Should i stop studying my special subjects and focus in the school subjects, English and piano which i study for four hours every day. I feel horrible and a very very deep sorrow.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Follow your best opportunity until you are self-supporting. Then, launch into your dreams. But, secure your best opportunities first. Make it not a dream but a PLAN. Best of luck.

I suppose if you really want to study abroad than perhaps you should concentrate your efforts in the academic areas you feel you are lacking in. However, from reading your post, I would say that your grammar is no worse than many native English speakers I have read here on Yahoo! Actually, it is better than many of them. When I went to college here in the U.S. we had many international students who's English skills were very low, and they were still accepted to the school. I suspect that you will have little trouble in being accepted into a US school. By the way, Have you heard of Samos ? It's a Greek island. That is where my Grandfather is from. Just wanted to mention it. Good luck!

I know what will cheer you up. Play hopscotch with a drunken rhino. Always works for me.
