In order to help you with your question fact and Myth's are the same thing. But there are fables that are not based on facts like myth's are. Also many, many people do have the tendecy to confuse the two. So here here goes the truth: Myth's are somethings that really happen in the reality of mankind but the truth about them seem to have been lost to mankind for all times. As for fables they come from the imagination of mankind or from the mis-understanding of myth's by mankind..............

Exactly what Deputy said.

Its like saying, for example, the story of Jesus is not true because we were not there to see it happen, so is it a Myth or truth? If the legend/story survives for thousands upon thousands of years their is some truth to it all.
