Not so much a cure as a preventative:
Before drinking, try eating a heavier meal than you normally would, with some extra fats and carbs and starches. Drink several glasses of water, take a multivitamin, and an extra B complex suppliment.
While you're drinking, drink one large glass of water for every alcoholic drink you consume to help dilute the alcohol in your system and eliminate it faster and more efficiently.
When you get home, drink two large glasses of water, take a vitamin C suppliment and two aspirin (not other pain relievers).
In the morning, drink two large glasses of water and one glass of orange juice. Eat a banana or some oatmeal with a little honey.
This method has always worked for me. I don't drink often but when I do, I never get hangovers. Just works by helping to anticipate replenishing what the body loses when drinking alcohol.

A good hangover cure...
1. Drink WATER- YOU are dehydrated
2. Take vitamin C and vitamin B- your body has used up most of your supply trying to process the alcohol
3. Eat simple carbohydrates [white pasta, crackers, white bread]- no need to strain your digestive system even further...
4. Go back to sleep...by drinking too much last night you have interfered with you deep sleep patterns. Even though you stayed in bed for ten hours, you are probably still tired....

The only things that have worke for me in order of effectiveness:
1. trip on a boat - something to do with the sea air
2. swim in the sea
3. vigorous excerise for 30 minutes or more. Separates the men from the boys but cures the hangover

Hangovers feel so bad due to two reasons: dehydration and low blood sugar.
I often find it difficult to rehydrate adequately as the low blood sugar makes me feel nauseous if I try to drink too much water.
The solution? A 50% mix of water and fruit juice with just a pinch of salt. This is close to being a good isotonic balance for the body, and will hydrate you quicker than plain water. The sugar in the fruit juice will bump up your blood sugar levels as you rehydrate. Keep drinking this mix until you are peeing clear, don't feel sick and your headache has gone.

Beer, tomato juice, and an egg, with a bit of hot sauce. I actually like it on occasion without the egg as a regular drink for mornings. Gets you going without the caffine!
Like some others are saying, a fry up with tea does great too, if not for the hangover, for the best eating on earth!

Supposedly if you drink a little bit of whatever you drank the majority of the night before (like a half a shot of vodka if you were drinking screwdrivers last night) will make you feel better. I've never tried it but I used to have an assistant manager that did it all the time and said it worked perfect for her. (But she also got fired for drinking at work. LOL) Anyway your best bet would be some Tylenol and a whole bunch of water or Gatorade. Alcohol does dehydrate you.

How about trying ginger beer, ginger biscuits or both.Dyoralite is good too. Lots of chocolate works for me washed down with a pint of orange juice. Or just drink vodka, I don't seem to get a hangover when I drink that!

Alcolhol does two things to your body that cause the hangover, it dehydrates and lowers your blood sugar, so the best things to do are drink plenty of water and eat a good breakfast with plenty of carbs. Sugary things will make you feel better but only for a short time, so carbs are better to raise blood sugar, also try lucozade.

As an habitual boozer, I feel your pain!
You obviously need to drink alot of water to avoid dehydration, but your body's salt levels will be low too so try to eat something salty like chips.
You need to have lots of anti-oxidants to rid yourself of the toxins from the night before. These can be found in things like berries and black grapes. If you don't fancy these you can have a few cups of tea instead.
Its also surprising what a good long shower or bath can do.
Good luck!
