I am also experiencing this exact same thing. I have the paid version of AVG. After I restarted my computer about 3 hours ago, I got a message saying that this trojan was found but it could not be cleaned because the original file had been deleted. Therefore, cleaning the file could make the computer unstable. I ran Spybot Search & Destroy as well as SuperAntiSpyware, both of which came out clean. I ran multiple scans with AVG, and every time it finds 1 or 2 files that are marked as Trojan horse Agent4.AQLZ. Judging by the sheer number of people who have reported this same virus, I'm hoping that this is just a false positive arising from a system update. I too am using Windows 8. I'm waiting to chat with AVG support, but if anyone finds out what the problem is or how to fix it, please post it here. EDIT: I just chatted with a person at AVG, and this IS A FALSE POSITIVE. Supposedly, it was fixed in the most recent update of AVG, but even after I updated my version, the false positive still keeps showing up.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

Give up using Windows, and install Linux on your computer. Linux is immune to all viruses, malware, spyware and adware.
Linux is a complete operating system that is either free or very cheap ($10-$30) and comes bundled with a huge variety of free software.
The Linux desktop is amazingly flexible and customizable, and anyone who is used to Windows will soon feel comfortable with it - and shocked by how dull their old Windows system looks by comparison! For example, in Linux you can use up to twenty (yes twenty) separate desktop work spaces - Windows only gives you one.
Go to www.distrowatch.com to find out how to get all the popular flavors of Linux...
...then do an image search for Linux screen grabs on Google.

Look up the solution on Symantec's website on how to clean the virus and follow their instructions. Go to the website below and change the search box to "viruses and risks" and type in system.exe.

you aint stated what OS u are using... okay.,if u are using Win2k , XP and above, try to turn off system restore which is available in system properties and find the file in command prompt and delete it.. b4 that , check in task manager for the activity of that file, the process will be shows as your(system administrators) name or as system process. try to terminate and then find the file system.exe from c:\ and delete it, also try to scan your registry for the entry contains "system.exe" using regedit command. i hope this would help you.
