This type of stain is one of the hardest to get out the carpet. I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot almost boiling water (from a kettle) on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time, (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet).
If the stain is still visible than try putting Dawn dishwashing liquid (4 or 5 drops into one cup of water) or carpet spotter. Dampen the spot letting it soak on the stain for about 5 minutes and repeat step one. After this you should rinse the area again with the wet vac and hot water. If this doesn’t work try using orange glo or even 409. The most important thing to do is rinse the stain with a wet vac and hot water from a kettle to remove all the reside, or the spot may come back.

Please be careful with what product you uses (neutral PH carpet cleaning solution is best). Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet.

This trick was taught to me by a carpet cleaner - it's the best kept carpet cleaners spot cleaning secret.

1. Go buy clear amonia and put it in a squirt bottle.
2. Heat up your clothing iron on the hottest setting.
3. Squirt down the spot until soaked. set a timer for 5 minutes.
4. go wet down a white clean washcloth that you don't need anymore (with no stains on it or dirt), and ring it out.
5. Lay the rag flat over the spot.
6. place the iron on top of the rag, and count to 30-40. only go to 40 if you have big juervos because you can burn a spot on your carpet if you go too long.

the way it works is the heat pulls the stain into the rag because of the amonia. Repeat it until it's all gone. On the second or third time, soak it better with amonia, leave the amonia on it longer before applying the heat, and leave the iron on a little longer.

works like magic every time!

I know when my girls were young they got Ribena on carpet it took me ages to get it out i used bicarb soda in a water solution and wet it patted it dry with paper towel it lightned it and made it pink. well, purchase a container of oxyclean and mix some in a small squirt bottle and squirt some onto the stained area then use a towel preferably cloth and place on the area to soak up the moisture.just let it air dry but if you like use a hair dryer to get it dry faster but use medium heat. some carpets may melt on high because of nylon and other synthetic material.

Dampen the stain slightly, then add about a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and rub it in. The stain will change colour. You should now be able to shift it with normal carpet shampoo.

There's a product called Redout. I had a mysterious red stain in my carpet at my rental. Called a guy in & he used Redout. It took a lot of spraying and dabbing, but it worked.
