Contact an attorney, but choose carefully. You should first have the attorney file for a legal separation and decide where you will live, where you are or to move out. If you are co owner or real property you need to determine what you want to take from the marriage. It will take you depending on the type of divorce and the state you reside in, how long before the divorce is granted, from 6 months to one year or more. The court as well can order you both go to counseling first.

In the first place, if you own your own home, don't leave. Have him put out by the police or, get your divorce order, the attorney can get a server and get a constable service to put him out, then if necessary get a restraining order. If his name is on the lease or the papers for the house, you might just have to leave him.
All this is going to cost a few hundred bucks. Make sure you pack his suitcases, put them on the front steps and have the constable stay until he's gone. Don't answer any of his calls or letters until it's over Honey, it would be the worst thing you could do.
