not every error message u get will b genuine lady. some sites will give u popups that say something stupid like "a spyware threat has been detected on your omputer! click HERE to remove it!"
and wen u DO go 2 the site it turns out that it gave u the spyware instead of removing it. i dont know wats more annoying, the ads themselves or the fact that half the ppl who visit the site fall for them...
on the other hand if u hav a good reason 2 believe that ur system is rele infected(for example the message box u get is not in ur web browser) then these programs shud clean out ur system:
-AVG anti virus
-McAffee STINGER
-Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE
-SpyBot Search and Destroy
after installing each program make sure u update the definitions file from the internet before running a scan. the first three arent wat u might call "complete" programs for example mcaffee stinger is only useful for running a scan if u think (or know) ur comp is infected (it doesnt have any auto-protect features) its the same thing with adaware SE the autoprotect feature (called Adwatch) is disabled unless u buy the pro version however the free version is just as good by itself its an excellent scanner even if u dont want 2 upgrade. Spybot S&D however is completely free ie no paying for an upgrade. neway u can get all these programs completely free look them up on download.com. try installing them and run a scan with each and hopefully they shud take care of all the nasty stuff uv go on ur machine dont forget 2 update the definitions every week or two, well take care and good luck.

Try clicking Start, Programs, System Tools, System Restore. If you have Windows XP, that should work and you just take it back to before it got messed up. Good luck!

Start your computer in safe mode by tapping continuously F8 from the instant you turn it on. Then run your anti spy and anti virus programs there. It takes twice as long but works.

don't forget to clear the history folder in Internet Options, if you don't want your boyfriend to know which websites you visited while he was away.

Then visit harmless websites so those fill the history folder, and thus it doesn't appear you are trying to hide anything.
