Saiyuki, also known as Gensomaden Saiyuki, is a popular manga series created by Kazuya Minekura and loosely based on the famous Chinese novel Journey to the West (Xī Yóu Jì). Studio Pierrot has adapted it into an anime as well, although the storyline is not yet complete.

the full title of saiyuki is Gensomaden Saiyuki. it's an anime, a manga (jap comic) and also a game.
there's 4 seasons to the anime Saiyuki:
Saiyuki Requiem
Saiyuki Requiem-Reload
Saiyuki Reload -Gunlock
Saiyuki Gunlock
i'm not sure whether i got the first one ritght.. it's either Requiem or Reloaded... it's hard to remember all.

Gensomaden Saiyiuki is an anime/manga based on a chinese legend which became a novel, "Journey to the West" (the same story that dragonball and monkey magic were based upon)
