brown paper bags cut up into single sheets, warm up your iron and start ironing the carpet w/ the bag between the two.

the heat will remelt the wax and the brown bag will absorb it. depending on how much you spilled is how many bags you use. takes patience but works like a charm.

spilled almost 2" out of a pillar candle last yr....cleaned it this way after researching it on the web....to this day no dirt mark or anything in that area and feels like normal carpet.

Hi
There is two ways to remove wax from carpet.

1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.

2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

pick off the dry wax. then get some absorbent paper towels and layer over it (about 3 or 4 sheets). iron over the paper on a low-medium setting without ironing the carpet. the wax will melt and be absorbed by the paper. keep moving the paper slightly each time so the wax has clean paper to soak into. keep going until it is all absorbed.

I use a few layers of paper towels, waxed paper, a wash cloth, and an iron.

1. Place paper towels over the wax.

2. Then, place the waxed paper. (This keeps the wax from soaking into the wash cloth and burning the paper towels)

3. Next, place the wash cloth or towel over top of the waxed paper.

4. Use an iron, set on medium low, and press the area of the wax spill.

The heat from the iron will lift the wax into the paper towels.

purely peel the wax off or chip it off with your finger. I have a silver candle holder and that is what I do. you won't be able to scratch it this way. it may take a lengthy time period searching on how a lot wax you've on there, yet you received't damage the candle stick. i encounter that it lifts actual in case you push up on the sting of the wax drip with your thumbnail. that is more convenient if that is chilly, yet once the wax hardens, that is going to peel/chip off besides. best of success!

Don't use icecubes...lol. Take a towel and place it over the area, then use an iron on the lowest setting melting the wax, then using a spatula or spoon to gently scoop it up...takes a while, but you can do it. Also, taking very hot water little bits at a time will loosen it making so you can scoop it up as well.... good luck.

Lay some newspaper or other paper over the wax.

Put your iron on a LOW TO MEDIUM heat, then rub it over the paper. The wax will melt & stick to the paper.

Do not put iron on high.

you can use a cube of ice. it will freeze the wax and can be broken off the carpet.to get the rest try a hard bristled brush or a hard toothbrush.will take longer but does the same job.
