The answer to that question is a subject of debate among historians, and is something that may never truly be solved, as evidence degrades over time and becomes lost to us.
Some of the candidates for the World's Oldest Language include the Khoi-San languages, Proto-Indo-European, the Basque language, and Sumerian.

Your question is not definitive enough. Almost certainly it was a "SIGN" language. If you mean "written language" I will leave that to the multitude of experts who I assure you will NOT agree with one another!
Sign language is still in use - we, you and I use it every day. We smile which transmits the feeling that we like what we are seeing etc.etc.
So perhaps you should repose your question to "What are the earliest known samples of written language" The answer is almost certainly a series of pictures found in some cave or other.

If you're a bible believer then I'd say its ancient hebrew.
But if you're not, then logically, I have to say, animal language.
What? is there something wrong with that?
ANyway, the oldest language of the human civilization would be the language of the first known human civilization --the Mesopotamian civilization. Thus, Sumerian is the oldest language about 3500 BC.
However, others say that it is either AKKADIAN, CHINESE, EGYPTIAN, PHRYGIAN, SANSKRIT, or PHOENICIAN.
